You can customize each breakout template with content specific to your learning goals.

We recently created OneNote breakout examples that will allow you to explore three different types of breakout activities: an Elementary breakout, a Secondary breakout, and a OneNote professional development breakout. Questions are grouped 4 per puzzle, resulting in five 4-letter codes that will unlock all 5 locks. Students must unlock 5 locks by solving for x in 20 equations. Many teachers have shared that their students love this new way of learning, including some who even ask to skip recess to stay and finish the lesson. An engaging math escape room to review solving 2-step linear equations in one variable. Students find OneNote breakouts to be a fun and immersive learning experience.

Can be shared easily with a link or QR code. Students will need to apply their skills in a variety of contexts, including solving word problems or completing math equations. Easily accessible for small groups or individuals Any Breakout EDU game can be customized to include any level of math skill - from pattern recognition to basic arithmetic and all the way to algebra and geometry. Can be amended very quickly by the teacher, if needed. Focus is on the lesson content and not just the lock puzzles. Most of my Escape Rooms can be used for distance learning, this one however, is not recommended for distance learning. Easy setup (no physical locks or boxes) This breakout escape room is a fun way for students to test their skills with finding the slope from a line graph, from (x, y) values, and from slope equations. Breakout lessons are ideal for beginning-of-the-year team building activities, holiday activities, a cumulative review of concepts, test review, pre-assessment, or even end-of-the-year projects. These lessons provide engagement, problem solving, critical thinking, risk taking, communication, and collaboration in addition to an element of fun and competition, if you choose. As the teacher, you have the opportunity to design breakouts that connect to your curriculum.
